The National Association of Social Workers of Liberia (NASOWL) was established in 2005 with a dedicated mission to address the needs of Liberia’s social work professionals. Working in close collaboration with the National Social Work Board, NASOWL sets policies and standards for the profession in line with national regulations for non-profit organizations. Through rigorous oversight and a commitment to excellence, NASOWL aims to enhance governance within the sector, empower practitioners, and elevate social work standards across Liberia.
We offer many programs and services to support individuals and families in need. From food assistance to job training, we are committed to helping those we serve to achieve their goals and improve their lives.
NASOWL is committed to "Improving social delivery through professional practice," advancing social service delivery by upholding high standards, and equipping Liberian social workers with the tools and training they need to make a meaningful impact. Our vision is a future where the social work profession is both robust and respected, contributing to the well-being and development of our society.
NASOWL’s governance framework is designed to uphold accountability, transparency, and inclusivity across all levels of the organization. The association operates under a well-defined structure that includes a dedicated Board of Directors, ensuring that decision-making aligns with our members' and stakeholders' needs and aspirations. This structure provides robust oversight and guidance for all NASOWL’s initiatives.
